Poseidon is the Greek god of the seas, and also considered god of earthquakes. He is one of the three most powerful gods: Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. He is the brother of Zeus and Hades, and is considered second in command after Zeus. His wife is Amphitrite, goddess of the sea, and daughter of Nereus and Doris. He is almost always seen carrying his trident, which is his symbol of power. With the trident, he can shake the earth or shatter any object. This is why he is also considered the god of earthquakes. He created the first horse out of sea foam and was generous enough to give it to the humans. This could have lead to a better hunt for the humans on earth.
